Woodslope House

Carlisle, Massachusetts

Site Plan by LeBlanc Jones

The Woodslope House is surrounded by a treed wetland. The large glass façade dissolves the boundary between indoor and outdoor and provides views of the nearby conservation land. The house is set in the hillside, uniting the space with its environment and providing the client with a deep connection to the surrounding ecosystem. Universal design and age-in-place standards are emphasized on the Main Floor, providing a transformative open-living space for the clients. The first floor is programmed to meet universal design and age-in-place standards. The home's Main Floor features a home office equipped for work-from-home standards before it was necessary. All the rooms are situated around an open-living dining space that functions as a gathering area for family and guests.
