Planning – Senior Planner [ 7+ Years Experience ]

About the Position
We are seeking innovative problem-solvers who are passionate about numbers, data visualization, and data analytics to join a team of professionals providing their clients with the highest quality planning and design in our Concord office. This individual will have specialized knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and InDesign. Working with clients to solve wicked problems is required.
The Senior Planner will be mentored along their leadership pathway and be responsible for mentoring junior members of their team. This role will establish interdisciplinary links to other practice areas of studioDSK and report to the Director of Advisory and Planning. The position requires collaboration with architectural and interior design teams in the development of planning projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Passionate about design, process, analysis, and conceptual ideas.
- Fluency regarding people and projects.
- Integrate input from clients, Principals, and project team members.
- Great design sense, with the ability to produce bold, visual graphics.
- Lead all aspects of the design process, including strategic, physical, and academic design development, and documentation.
- Conceptualize, design, and detail custom product solutions when appropriate.
- Create 2d and 3d analytical and conceptual drawings, graphics, digital and physical models.
- Provide research and graphic design support on master planning and space programming feasibility studies.
- Analyze various datasets, including campus space, scheduling, and financial modeling.
- Visualization and software expertise with the ability to prepare presentations that help our clients understand issues and potential solutions.
- Present ideas and materials to various client groups, including students, faculty, senior leadership, and board members.
- Develop project summary reports, organizing graphics and text to support project outcomes.
- Maintain working knowledge of current techniques, products, materials, and systems.
- Employ advanced sustainability planning practices.
- Successfully brings to fruition all financial aspects of running a planning project on time and on budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree with 7 years’ experience in planning, urban planning, architecture, and/or urban design.
- Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, REVIT, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proven experience in leading design processes and maintaining high design quality.
- Able to take initiative and action in response to direction or instruction.
- Strong collaboration skills with architectural and interior design teams.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and create interdisciplinary connections.
- Experience in planning for educational institutions or similar institutions.
- LEED AP ID+C accreditation preferred [or similar Planning Accreditation].
- Must be able and willing to travel to job sites.

Architecture – Designer [ 3-5 Years Experience ]

About the Position
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about design to join a team of professionals providing their clients with the highest quality services in our Concord office. The Designer will have excellent technical and communication skills, be organized, creative, and possess a strong work ethic. The primary responsibility will be to support architectural projects across all phases of design, while working collaboratively with a Project Manager and Project Team. The ideal individual has strong design skills, thrives in a collaborative environment, and can work on projects across a variety of different scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the coordination of projects through all phases of design.
- Communication with Client, Consultants, and Project Team Members.
- Actively participate in internal design reviews.
- Contribute to the production of construction documents.
- Draw all required drawings from plans to details per project.
- Generate and communicate design concepts.
- Production of architectural drawings, sketches, diagrams, presentations, and renderings.
- Provide flexibility in developing alternative concepts to solve complex design problems.
- Modify and review presentations and drawing sets in all phases.
- Coordinate, develop, and draft construction documents in support of overall project design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's of Architecture with a minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate professional experience.
- Proficiency in REVIT, Enscape, and Adobe Suite [Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign]. Should be familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint], V-Ray, Sketchup, and Rhino.
- Strong verbal communication for internal design review, client, and project teams.
- Flexible, resourceful, and organized individual.
- Capacity for project-related travel.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong graphic communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team, and individually.
- Current technology expertise, can work across multiple platforms.
- Capacity to work in the office and remotely, when necessary.
