Fostering a Culture of Innovation
AVAST allows WHOI to rapidly develop, prototype, and test new approaches in resource-rich engineering laboratories. The David Center offers approximately 10,000 SF of flexible development space, fostering program growth through internal and external collaborations. The building also houses the Mooring Lab and Advanced Fabrication Lab. This new hub brings scientists and engineers together to accelerate breakthroughs in oceanographic research.
